RESCUE: Carthage, IL Frightened Senior Cocker mix girl surrendered by elderly owner urgently needs new home

PLEASE RE-TWEET: RT @sepetrescue #RESCUE: Carthage, IL Frightened Senior CockerX, owner surrender needs new home http://bit.ly/8CCkgL

This girl was surrendered last week by a 90yr old women here in my county. She is located at the Hancock County Dog Pound in Carthage, IL. My aco had gotten a complaint about how she was being cared for. This obviously upset this women and she immediately told him to take her. The women we believe did what she could but just couldn't care for her. This is a sweet sweet dog, she is scared and shivers out at my pound. I really don’t want my aco to put her down. Do you think she can be saved? does anyone have room? This is a sad situation and I would be very grateful for your help!
