GA Anti-gassing Bill urgently needs calls from these counties that still gas. http://bit.ly/9zlfS8 #gapolitics #petrescue #ga
If you live in one of these counties- Please call your Rep ASAP.. Support is still needed, believe it or not, for this bill to pass. It is going to be a squeaker.
Even if your Rep could care less about the animal's suffering, they do care about "appearing" to save tax money.
Let your Rep's know that Lethal Injection costs half of what it costs to Gas animals.
Please find related data resulting from a 2007 cost analysis found euthanasia by injection costs half of carbon monoxide method at this location: http://ow.ly/17FmR

Also- Here is today's letter from HSUS' Georgia chapter-
Can you pass this on?
HB 788, a bill to ban gas chambers for euthanasia in Georgia, just passed out of the Rules Committee and will be voted on by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, March 16. Please call your GA state representative and ask him/her to vote YES on HB 788. When you call you will likely speak to an assistant. Please state that you are a constituent in the district and leave your address. This is important!
You can find your legislator by going to www.hsus.org/leglookup. Scroll down a few paragraphs and click on “you can find your state lawmakers here”. Put in your zip plus four if you know it. If it shows that you have more than one representative, you have to go to the right hand side of the page and put in your full address. Then it will show you who your rep is. You only have one state representative. Keep their email and phone number handy. We may have other bills coming soon.
Thank you. You are making a difference. Please pass this on to your lists.
