Hello Everyone,
We were informed about a puppy mill shutting down as of 12/31. They are located in PA and are NOT renewing their kennel license. I am sure they do not refer to themselves as millers but they are and this is why they can not renew the license because they are operating a sub par levels with too many infractions that will be too costly to fix.
Help Save One, Inc. has been asked to be on site on 12/31 to accept in these dogs and puppies. Estimated amount is 350 at this point BUT we obviously can not take them all or even close to that. Our friend who runs a legitimate kennel is the one who was contacted by this kennel and asked to spear head the effort who then turned to us.
We are trying to get info on what breeds but this is a commercial breeding facility and they have small to large breeds. We are told conditions are filthy and the 30 puppies taken out so far were in bad condition.
What we need: other rescues to come with us or meet us on the 31rst to help pull and take into their rescues. Most importantly DONATIONS.
At this short of notice I have no idea how to pull this off but I suspect with the power of the internet, networking, our website, and other rescues we can get this done.
More info to follow tonight and tomorrow......biggest undertaking yet.
THEIR DOORS HAVE TO BE SHUT ON THE 31RST....ALL RESCUES WHO WANT TO HELP MUST BE IN PENNSYLVANIA ON THE 30TH SO THIS CAN START FIRST THING ON THE 31RST.
We need as many reputable rescues helping as possible.
We also must set up vetting etc....
