Transport Request: ChattTN->Detroit MI Black Lab 12/19

Rescue Transport Black Lab: Chattanooga, TN  To Detroit, MI Saturday- December 19, 2009

We are trying to a get black lab mix female, Georgia to rescue in Detroit, MI.   Georgia is skittish and a little withdrawn or leary and severely underweight.   She nursed 4 healthy puppies and we have gotten them to rescue now need to get her to her foster home/rescue in MI for some rehab/training and spaying.  She can be very skittish and wary - does not bite or growl, but won't volunteer for human touch either.  She does respond to food/ very savory treats - hamburgers/hotdogs/chicken nuggets.   She will probably have to be lifted and put in a car - Extreme caution is needed when letting her out of the car - she will probably try to bolt.   She comes with a no-slip martingale collar - I would have an extra leash around as well - in case she chews through one.

We are adding another Black lab to the transport as well - a female - Sammie - about forty lbs - fully vetted - loves everybody.

Logan will be coming from the same shelter-  the dog will be going to Toledo, OH and then going to WI the next day.
He's just hitching a ride.
We will need a second driver on some of the legs to accommodate the dog.

As always, crossposting is GREATLY appreciated!!

Introducing IndiTres, & Sugarbear!!

Indi was pulled from a WV shelter, and there's a bit of confusion with Tres's story, but both girls need to get to rescue.  Indi will have been in boarding for 3 weeks, and the expense is draining the rescue.  Tres, a 14-year old 3-legged girl, has been in "temporary" foster care for the last year.  Sweet baby Sugarbear was witnessed being dumped by her owners.  All of these gals need YOUR help getting to rescue!
